A collective voice to advance women in the legal profession

The Sarasota Chapter of the Florida Association For Women Lawyers, Inc. was established in 1984 to provide educational monthly meetings; promote networking among female and male lawyers in the community; provide mentoring for women lawyers through members and other resources; establish a referral base, and to encourage cooperation, support, and friendships among attorneys.


Upcoming Events

Making the lives of working moms, attorneys, witnesses, jurors, litigants and other visitors to the courts in Sarasota was the goal behind creating a Lactation Room at the Judge Lynn Silvertooth Judicial Center last year. 

  Area localities, including the City of Sarasota, North Port Venice, Manatee County,  Holmes Beach, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Hillsborough County, have all recently approved resolutions urging the State to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment
